- 2 bunches of turnip greens, cleaned
- 6 medium turnips, peeled and diced
- 10 cups of water
- 2 lbs of smoked ham hocks, diced
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 pinch of baking soda
- 2 tbsp of sugar
- 3 peppers from the pepper sauce jar (the one with the little peppers floating in vinegar)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 stalks of celery, chopped
- 2 tbsp of bacon grease
- Tony's, salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder
